Nurses are professionals responsible for general nursing assistance of a technical, relational, educational, aimed at the developmental, adult and geriatric age, for preventive, curative, palliative and rehabilitation aspects. The course allows you to acquire the skills provided by the D.M. Ministry of Health 14 September 1994, n. 739 (professional profile of the nurse), Law 42/99, Law 10 August 2000, n. 251, and subsequent amendments and additions as well as the Code of Ethics of the Nurse.
Access to the course of studies is subject to passing a special test in accordance with the provisions of national legislation for the Degree Courses of the Health Professions with a programmed number and the University Call.
The degree obtained has a qualifying value and allows – upon registration with the Professional Order – to carry out the activity in health facilities, public or private, in the territory and in home care, in terms of dependency or professional freedom both in Italy and in the countries of the European Union. The
profession offers a high employment index, with significant job opportunities also abroad.
The training course allows to understand the physiological and pathological processes of the human body and to acquire knowledge and nursing skills of a technical, educational and relational nature aimed at identifying and evaluating the needs of both the individual, as well as to plan nursing care and to establish a therapeutic relationship with people of all ages and with increasingly complex health problems.
The teaching activity is carried out in both traditional and interactive ways. The theoretical lessons are accompanied by laboratory activities, in small groups, carried out with active teaching methodologies, such as role playing and simulation at low, medium and high intensity. The training of the student is completed by the internship activities carried out mainly within the reference health structures (hospital and territorial hospitals), in addition to training guides properly trained, through which 60 university credits (CFU) are acquired, of the 180 expected in the three-year period.
Part of the ECTS\CFU (University Credits) can be acquired in other European universities through the Community exchange programs.
At the end of the three-year period, you can continue your education in the university through courses of Specialization, Master’s Degree, Master’s Degree in Nursing and Midwives. Possession of the master’s degree allows access to Master’s II level and PhD.
