A message from the Dean, Professor Roberto Martino
Dear Students,
the very recent provisions our Government took about the emergency of Covid-19’s pandemic have forced our Faculty of Law, and the whole University, to reorganize activities with e-learning. Lessons in our building in Casamassima and workshops in our mentoring building in Trani shall begin on March 9, according to the calendar we already sent you all via e-mail. The same calendar is published on this Message Board, together with all information needed to activate the service.
On Monday, March 9, the calendar of the whole week’s e-learning activities will be formalized. From March 16, we will be able to activate weekly mentoring services, also in distance.
LUM’s Team has been relentlessly working during these days in order to give you all the chance to attend lessons, even though in distance according to the provisions of our Government. I’m confident that everything is going to turn out for the best, but in case any problem should occur, that would certainly be caused by the very tight times we had to plan our activities. I understand that a “virtual” class is far from the routine of our daily lessons, and this means that we need to collaborate even more and we must try to understand each other, students and teachers, even more. This is the moment to show, once again, the cohesion and sense of belonging that distinguish all of us at LUM University; and, before that, the sense of civic duty that this emergency urges all of us to feel.
As for me, I’m at your disposal, as always.
Roberto Martino

SUSPENSION OF ALL CURRICULAR INTERNSHIPS (OUTSTANDING AND STILL TO BE ACTIVATED)
Communication of the Guidance, Internship and Placement Office to the students of the Faculty of Law
Dear students,
in order to protect your health and to help controlling the spread of Covid-19, according to all provisions of our Government, we communicate you that the activities of curricular internship – both outstanding and still to be activated until April 3 – are suspended until April 3.
As for outstanding internships, we will re-activate them after April 3. Those still to be activated, particularly for students graduating on July 2020, the next Faculty Council shall examine alternative activities to reach all the credits corresponding to the internship included in the study plan.
We are certain about your understanding, and we are at your complete disposal for any information about this communication.
Kind regards,
Your Guidance and Placement Staff
