It is recognized as such by D.L. 19\/2012, which confines the principles of the \u201cSelf-Assessment, Periodic Evaluation and Accreditation\u201d system (AVA), and by the subsequent D.M. 47\/2013, which identifies its indicators and parameters of periodic evaluation along with those of teaching and research.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1141\" data-end=\"1484\">Therefore, <strong data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1170\">LUM University<\/strong>, with the Third Mission, intends to <strong data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1256\">enhance the products of teaching and research<\/strong>, promoting <strong data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1316\">comparison, exchange, and mutual development<\/strong> between the University and <strong data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1360\">stakeholders<\/strong>, in relation to the territory and social contexts of reference, to build a <em data-start=\"1436\" data-end=\"1483\">knowledge society and an economy of belonging<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1486\" data-end=\"1772\">The <strong data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1539\">Euro-Mediterranean location of the University<\/strong> and its renewed willingness to dialogue in a privileged manner with the European Levant have consistently led to <strong data-start=\"1653\" data-end=\"1697\">strengthening its identity and its roots<\/strong> with the actors of the southern and, in particular, <strong data-start=\"1750\" data-end=\"1771\">Apulian territory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"2182\">Compared to the new European scenarios of territorial development focused on the <strong data-start=\"1855\" data-end=\"1876\">knowledge economy<\/strong> and on the <strong data-start=\"1888\" data-end=\"1933\">intelligent specialization of territories<\/strong>, the University positions itself as a <strong data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"2029\">privileged actor in the emerging development dynamics<\/strong> resulting from the collaborative design between <strong data-start=\"2078\" data-end=\"2132\">Public Institutions, the business world, and labor<\/strong>, operators in specialized human capital training.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2184\" data-end=\"2668\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Hence the identification, by LUM University, of the strategic lines to be adopted with reference to the Third Mission, pursuing as the <strong data-start=\"2319\" data-end=\"2337\">main objective<\/strong> that of promoting \u2013 through the <strong data-start=\"2370\" data-end=\"2408\">economic valorization of knowledge<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2410\" data-end=\"2447\">technology and knowledge transfer<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2449\" data-end=\"2475\">sustainable innovation<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"2481\" data-end=\"2540\">development of entrepreneurship and business innovation<\/strong>, and the creation of <strong data-start=\"2562\" data-end=\"2599\">territorial Innovation Ecosystems<\/strong> \u2013 the <strong data-start=\"2606\" data-end=\"2667\">development of the community and the territory as a whole<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"z-0 flex min-h-[46px] justify-start\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"mt-3 w-full empty:hidden has-[&gt;_:empty]:hidden\">\n<div class=\"text-center\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"[--thread-content-max-width:40rem] @w-lg\/main:[--thread-content-max-width:48rem] mx-auto max-w-(--thread-content-max-width) flex-1\" data-conversation-screenshot-content=\"\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"pointer-events-none -mt-px h-px translate-y-(--scroll-root-safe-area-inset-bottom)\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] In recent years, the definition of Third Mission has fostered a reflection on the strategic role that the academic system assumes within society and the reference territorial context.
